How I Wrote the Play at the Ridgline #Poetryport by painting a picture with words, a paper journal in hand, dog at my side, and falling sun
I realized that in much of my #poetryport work I was always somewhere but never here. I had forgotten the embodied experience.
Telling stories in simple observations is the only way to dig at deeper truths.
So I grabbed a journal and the dog and headed off into the woods. After walking awhlle I sat. Then I wrote. I tried to focus on all my senses. Capture a verse for each. This is a the first and only tool needed in a poet's toolkit.
