Update on microformats and learning spaces

What's Been built:

Collection of Resources

I built a collection of all my IndieWeb Learning Network stuff here on Glitch. People are starting to remix the tools. That is cool. Higher Ed spends stupid money on LMS and learning shoulkdn;t be managed in the first place.

It should network.

Webmention Badges

Also getting closer on the badges. I have figured out a way to issue webmention badges from the wiki. This is so cool! Could you imagine issuing badges from a fandom wiki and they get published directly to a contributors website! How cool is that.

Plus what is more credibile than your own domain? You are putting your name into it.

I still want to create some kind of ledger like https://indiepay.me that is also a micropub client for creating and issuing badges...A pretty picture maker.

What's Next?

I am bumping up on an edge case where there is a use case where some microformats may not work. Here was my original idea long before I knew anything or had any experience and thought I might need a new h* level.

I was wrong

  • p-module used if a lesson or activity is part of a bigger module
    /collection
  • p-lesson used if in an activity is part of a bigger lesson h-entry with h-event if including schedule
  • p-goal Goal of the learning activity p-summary
  • p-objectives measurable outcomes of a lesson
  • p-steps the procedures a learner or teacher will use
  • HTML ul or ol
  • p- assessment how will the objectives be measured
  • p-criteria what criteria will be used to measure success
  • p-evidence what will the learner demonstrate to prove criteria have been met.

I am unsure if I can use  p-category for the other elements I would like to parse. It would be nice for a badgemaker tool to parse a page and then include goals, objectives, assessmenets, criteria and evidence.

In terms of badges, rubrics, and artifacts I need to look at h-review, h-product (artifact), h-review-aggregate (multiple domain rubrics....don't turn everything into rubrics...says a guy who runs a rubric company).

I also need to look at photo-replies so the badge image displays as a webmention.
