Dropping the "Pie in the Sky" moniker from #IndieWeb Learning Networks
When I decided to dedicate my open source time (I try to do donate 20% of my work week and will only publish open access research) to the #IndieWeb movement I thought my vision of how classes could work on the IndieWeb sat far off in the future.
Well beyond my meager skills I though way back in May.
No more. I am getting close.
So I removed the "Pie in the Sky" header from my IndieWeb wiki page.
I also wonder if pie in the sky thinking helps you get to your end goal. Visioning takes time and when you imagine what you can't build are you wasting time? Is creative time spent not working towards an impossible and imporbable mission wasted.
Sucess takes the smallest steps. I just don't know if I need to choose a path I know I can complete.
So it's a balance. i am not thinking about teaching for you and yours. I just focus on me and mine. Luckily the folks I roll with like building towards a better world so when we build for me and mine we support you and yours.
Now I want pie.
