Everyone in #edu307 always drawn to the hope in the poems, that one line. Yet they also share a common rage and repeat phrases of violence. Dunbar wrote hit poem first, he was the son of a slave. Angelou took this poem and shaped it in her own ways capturing much the same rage and hope but you can also feel the gains we made in civil rights and how far we still have to go.
