#edu307 #edu307Fall19 #nctevillage #engchat #elemchat Tip (and a plea from a parent) to teachers assigning reading logs... really dig prompts focused on text structure and author's craft over useless time limits and page counts, but please let kids know they can write tonight's reading reflection tomorrow. Reading is baked into bedtime routine (yes privilege and practice we must push for all). Some kids (mine)... rule followers. I don't want them doing reading logs before bed. I want them falling asleep mezmorized (50%/50% sucess rate.... Totally made up numbers like writing grades... And inflated to make me look like better parent). Let them reflect tomorrow.
