No Need for Complicated #OpenPedagogy Metadata to Track Student Growth, Go #IndieWeb

I use WordPress.com with my students to introduce them to the web and #openpedagogy but this year I added an amazing feature that makes tracing knowledge growth and keep track of progress super easy. I do not need some expensive data analytics platform or have to use tools in some LMS every student hates. Instead, I use HTML. You may have heard of it before.

This is total nonsense @ebsco the best result for searching for "comprehension" within "Reading Teacher".....

an article about Turkish teaching....@ebsco can find NO results for comprehension.....The search function doesn't even recognize metatags. What a crappy product. I have to literally redo every one of my searches...Not one of @ebscohost so-called permalinks works.

I spent last two days bookmarking all my readings. Uses the "permalink" feature...maybe @ebsco doesn't know what permalink doesn't mean....Permalink != 404. Yet I can get ZERO access to the articles I bookmarked. I sign in over and over and get nothing, Don't get me started on Search. @ebsco told me there were zero results for "comprehension" in "The Reading

I love Mozilla, I love Firefox, I played with pocket, broke it years ago with IFTT and could never really clean it up, great idea but #IndieWeb solutions better.
