@tshellstudio Here is a quick illustration of how the model works in this weeks newsletter: https://twitter.com/tshellstudio/status/1076289165921316864 and a video showing you what its like on my phone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwECN4uVuHg&t=134s
@Johannes_Ernst Agree and this arose as people got used to pretty interfaces and proprietary APIs. Platforms should encourage people to grow into the web. push button publishing experience shared with my friends but let me tweak to. My hearts content or not.
Also a ton of privilege gets reflected back on to the ability just hack away on your website. Chasing passion always does but web introduces access issues. Communities must encourage people to grow into the web.
Finally starting to understand this fractions fr in CSS Grid. Hoping I can do 1rf 2fr 2fr 1fr and embed that in each grid item... Size should be determined by container. We will see
where I made it today's #newwwyear challenge contribution,. I spent time laying out collections of posts that I often organize into a publication like page. I tried to use common card sizes others might like using CSS grid. https://postcollection.glitch.me/ here it is on GitHub https://github.com/jgmac1106/postcollection
It doesn't look like much yet https://publicationtemplate.glitch.me/ but this will be the three layout choices as I design a publication as a collection of h-entries https://indieweb.org/collection #newwwyearchallenge Next step, decide if I want to embed a grid in each cell to make an article card

Just downloaded my Medium articles as part of my #newwwwyear migration. I am going to need to layout a collections page to recreate my P+T Binder collection. It might just be import articles for now. but it's back to the resume today.
Werewolf is such a popular past time at tech conferences and meetup but this is why I think the word "lynching" is problematic https://twitter.com/ClintSmithIII/status/1075829563714879488?s=19 We use "silver bullet" when hosting.
@Johannes_Ernst Same way all #IndieWeb tools are built, someone has a personal goal for their site and they build it, then someone else wants it, then someone else wants. We are economic agnostic (though I am personally pulling for co-op models)
HUUUGE progress on #newwyear challenge today. I got all the microformats into my words cited on the resume https://jgmac1106.homepage.glitch.me/resume.html I need to add some styling so the divs in conference papers are inline, change font to white possible and be done!
Back at #newwwyear challenge this morning, trying to conquer an errant flexbox....after everything you realize didn't properly name class in HTMl... chalk it up as a win for a lot of free learning for a problem easy to solve. https://jgamc1106homepage.glitch.me
@keeptofacts If you do end up quitting facebook ( I believe we now have a moral obligation) please reach out so we can add you here: https://indieweb.org/silo-quits
