@ShortFormErnie Been CMS shopping myself as of late, looking at Perch Runway, Grav, Drupal...ended up going back to Known for my stream and going to use static site for homepages and long-form writing. Just too hard to get webmentions working on Ghost. I like webmentions make blogging fun again.
@ShortFormErnie It's smart, in the inbox when they wake up and avoid spouse. When you used to have to add the retrieval data to stuff you found on the web for proper APA citations I always put Christmas Eve to make myself look like the hardest working academic out there.

@ShortFormErnie In all honestly that is what I did have from my WordPress site. Subscribers would get a weekly update. Did think about juts syndicating one kind of post type...but that felt like doing work....but do play with the new social readers sooo much fun
@film_girl f**k Newsletters. I get enough email. Be a rebel. Go back to your blog. They are still there. Fans can be intentional and add you to a reader if they wish.
@waricklanguage I agree. This is more for learning how to build your own #el30 environment...which is cool...if that is your goal....I think for most teachers and cloud we need to think of skills and dispositions needed to meld students with those goals.

Going to write it up now but it was myself and @jeremycherfas comparing notes. We discussed how I removed open graph, getting html entities into status updates, and the main benefit of Known working rather than us.
@mapkyca and @benwerd had a wonderful conversation about Known on Virtual Homebrew Website Club-Europe today and how with a few tweaks it will be the perfect engine to drive all the posting from micropub clients to our sites.
So in this study of Cloud and knowing the Google iOS version most k12 schools live in I wonder what are the common pedagogical affordances between the two approaches. #el30
I do think with tools like Docker and changes to @github and seeing the direction @glitch is taking that we will see less and less of the local dev environment and coding and engineering that are collaborative first environments. #el30
