@smaffulli If you want to IndieWeb but keep your design flexibility I have found the best option to be: -Install an IndieWeb Theme -Stay on Classic Editor -Use a Page Builder like Elementor other option, retooling your theme. In ~10 years I have yet to see more themes. Not really option
@Bali_Maha @hsmiceli @VConnecting @UnboundEq Yes for display. I use time servers all the time and you have a small user base. I am not arguing against the cultural inequities mirrored in how we tell time but just saying those have also created problemas in software development. How are you checking user location?
@Bali_Maha @hsmiceli It presents real coding and UX/UI challenges as well. On event pages like here unless you have a ton of resources you you have to leave it up to the user to enter local time Humans bad at telling time
@davidbraze Occam's Razor. 48 states begging for workers. Thousands of people willing to walk hundreds of miles for https://bit.ly/3yM6ARj can we solve this border crisis?
@Ebonyteach Auntie could model with kids how you can do it differently. Plenty of feviderse instances for all your niche interest or try @microdotblog (my annual come check out #indieweb plea) But it is a matter of economic survival in my opnion
@Ebonyteach Vidcon doesn't seem to be shrinking, and people are learning other revenue paths We can do this. Local libraries keep federated clouds, people can #checkoutadomain Local Black and Brown media can be re-supported not with targeted ads but community investment
@Ebonyteach Let's reroute the web back in communities. It is more than being a product for marginalized communities. Now corporations can steal what is cool long before white people appropriate the ideas and wealth
