@RafranzDavis Sorry if I came off debating..it was a random thought as I was typing....and it is very odd and very niche to be into a band that openly licenses content...It's either hardcore or hippie music...usually very white and English.
@open_ory No thank you, never thought about using an audio file in conjunction to explain an inforgraphic. Totally using that idea. I also think with updates to CSS Grid someone can make a friendly HTML infographic maker that will work for everyone
@RafranzDavis If folks openly license videos, like many educators, do encourage them to add the to the @internetarchive rather than YouTube to avoid all the shadiness and model good practice to students. Voting with content and eyeballs matters
Earlier this month I declared the horsefly the antagonist of my #clmooc #feldgang. Naturally I had to do some poetry...so I tried to describe the most annoying thing in my physical world with the most annoying thing in the digital world... horseflies link to recording in case iframe is getting stripped out. After reading about @PfriemBeer and their love for lager in an article about pet peeves I need to try...time for the Screwdrivers pretending to be DIPAs to go away its good to see lagers get their love.
@klbz Somethings to note. Nothing unusual in ToS. Children are not allowed on the site so do not assign it. You can not modify the guides and you can not post them to a personal or school website even if password protected. They collect no data.

Wow @speakervoss has to get the jerk of the month award. Literally won't allow a paraplegic to call into meetings at work because, "Its rude to ask questions on the phone" and others drive "six hours" for meeting.. Like wtf? https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/2019/07/30/jny-rise-of-freelance-journalist-and
@klbz Page took awhile to load but looks like a good resource. Didn't check out the novel guides but the literary device dictionary is good. Be a great #OER project. We all have novel guides. Might as well share and the dictionary be a great wiki
ummmm providing extra services to students of color isn't a form of segregation....calling equity efforts neo-segregation is so pitifully off the mark: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/yale-new-segregation-on-campus/
@jny Rise of freelance journalist and the demise of many publications means journalist should be their own personal archivist. Can't rely on publishers, plus I could follow an author across different publications. Very few pubs have author feeds.
Plus @jny who is to say the Galley itself will be around forever? At least journalist who owned their content from the outset would not have to worry about backing it up or archiving it.
