@MatthewAKraft @palan57 @matt_barnum In terms of efficacy or ROI?
Greg McVerry@palan57 @matt_barnum @MatthewAKraft What if we had flipped the script and our evaluation system wasn't about chasing out low quality but building up to better quality?
Greg McVerry@GardnerCampbell library cards
Greg McVerry@GardnerCampbell I had no idea, I always thought the Catholic churches ran the school s int he Republic and the Protestants in the other county
Greg McVerry@GardnerCampbell The yearning for the classics and the model of humanist learning we must remember was always a model for the super wealthy and not common folk. We pine for something built on inequality.
Greg McVerry@dr_jdean @WordPress I was considering how LTI Wordpress integration would work, be a neat feature
Greg McVerry@matt_barnum Great job @matt_barnum you shoul doffer a course in how to read educational research.
Greg McVerry@brumface Thanks Lauren. No idea why it wouldn't come up in the mention features. Had a few shout outs the last few days in discussing leaving industrial hosting farms
Greg McVerry@MasterSybaris @rianjohnson @achisling @HackswithHaggs My problem wasn't surviving vacuum. Thought the Heisman stance was a bit cheesy. If it looked like a life struggle while all bodily fluids boiled off I'd be happier. But it was still bad ass
Greg McVerry@anniekate_199 @MrsMurat Yes we need to recognize the new modes and mediums introduced into writing and how we spread messages and media #engchat
Greg McVerry@Jenny_Osowski @Mr_TubbsSS or focus on "better" work display any exemplar that students feel is better than their last. have them explain the difference. #sschat
Greg McVerry@rianjohnson @achisling @HackswithHaggs Also not the first time jJedi have lived in open vacuum. Plo Koon (granted he had a breathing apparatus) was able to survive without his eyes boiling off.
Greg McVerry@sacohen1 Odd Squad. It is a kids show on PBS https://x.com/sacohen1/status/954024993989582848
Greg McVerry@JenEyePrince @KimberlyMrsR1 @SheriffClarke It isn't easy as folks think. The time to establish yourself and chase contracts, being subject to budget whims. I think there is place for consultants in the ecosystem. Especially when you consider costs of coaches and their fringe benefits.
Greg McVerry@christypnovack @TinkeringStudio @MakerEdOrg So excited about this.
Greg McVerry@ctnewsjunkie I have said from the get go it will be Newark or Atlanta but I think Newark. Audible is already there. You have a 20 minute train ride to city. The average income in Hartford is 30k. We don't have the talent or the kind of states to attract the talent that Amazon would need
Greg McVerry@smarick Yes I agree, while education in CT needs major reforms that can not be done from a legislative branch. The judge overstepped the scope of the case. If you haven't read the @CTMirror series comparing #edreform in MA to CT you should great read.
Greg McVerry@mysticklemom @HuffPost Open platform threatened @huffpo brand not democracy. That is why the change was made. Restricting the rights of people to have access to tools fo literacy has never been an option for supporting democracy. In fact it is the opposite. We hold back literacy to suppress agency
Greg McVerry@JenEyePrince @KimberlyMrsR1 @SheriffClarke 1K a day would be on the low end of most consultant day rates. I bethcya more like 2500 a day
Greg McVerry@gailDrich @matt_barnum Yes just because we should do something does not mean we can do it. belive last 10 years have taught us how feedback and coaching can improve teaching. The current systems are troubled because it is hard to make evaluations consequential...so instead we make them cumbersome
