Maybe need code to recognize horizontal cell in a table should stack verticaly to previous cell in annotation javascript sidebar. do worry about page weight with a ton of annotations...but like I said was doing a lot of data intensive stuff at time
@judell My fault for being an academic. Our contracts forbid us from speaking in plain language. I will keep testing...I was getting frustrated by having to scroll up and down to find the annotation.

@SR_Toliver NCTE>Thanksgiving>LRA turn around untenabl..then you have folks who swing to ARF as well...not sure how. Not meant for folks who work at #realcollege and have ~1,000 travel budget and no one to teach the last week(s) in four classes
@SkypLabs Yeah I thought, haven't opened iTunes in a long time, I remember if you bought a track for 0.99 you had to upgrade to the 1.29 version but this is very long time ago. About ten albums
Yeah these are some albums and tracks I bought before that...haven't opened in itunes in years. Start ripping those CDs. That's my music collection just been collecting for ever.
Believe literacy research community stay paying dues members if conferences/journal materials openly licensed. May grow membership. I also don't believe people won't pay for #OER as service, but LRA's mission should never be journal revenue
It has been 11 years..ELEVEN YEARS since we published this document in 2008 https://www.literacyresearchassociation.org/assets/docs/Websitedocs/nrc_digital%20publication_ad%20hoc%20resolution%20dec%202008.pdf and still haven't moved away from a members only model. We all need to call BS and walk away until things change.
@sbotzakis Well reading this https://www.literacyresearchassociation.org/jlr I see SAGE has graciously decided back issues can be open, but can no longer support idea that we have to pay so publisher can then turn around and sell our ideas. It is exploitation of our labor
@sbotzakis Pains me to say no. For second year in a row skipping #lra19. After tenure made a commitment to only support organizations that support the commons and open knowledge. Sadly LRA isn't one of those organizations. Decades of talk. No action.
keep thinking Bush/Rove won by driving gay marriage bans onto state ballots. Then swift boating Kerry. Trump won through racism & xenophobia. Republicans only win by being on wrong side of history not on conservative values. That scares me
@smarick Was a good piece...but not my definition of "ultra-conservative" pragamatism an American trait of both parties, but to abandon free trade, small government...that's nto conservative...something different darker....
And I am not a Caulkin's fan...word fidelity and workshop make little sense...more dig the Grave's model and more for writing than reading...but stop trying to put the NRP report up against MSV...miscus analysis an assessment not a curriuculum. #edchat
@right2readproj because recognizing common rimes bad skill for decoding?...could have said "fill in the blank" or "complete common word by matching onset to the rime" still a cheesy lesson. #ScienceOfReading still political meme not science #edchat
