The next question to ask is, "Whose science?" The National Reading Panel ignored massive observable patterns in good reading as "science" was only defined as stuff with numbers....literally, thousands of hours of observation research on teaching practice was ignored.

The proper thing a reporter should do is say, "What science?" ...To which proponents will probably just say "National Reading Panel" ....which wasn't
