An interesting way to build a speak site. I may follow along @wga019 but skip the json and compiling and just write HTML. I love the advanced kindergarten approach.
@fncll Every @indiewebcamp is an unconference so the gist of the session is what YOU make it. https://boffosock.com proposed it and it will focus more on self hosting books...but how we do commonplace book is how we write the uncommon book.
Though I think I am going to do a fresh rebuild on my Known install some of the plugins I built may have introduced a loop somewhere. Community plugins: a A curse of broken code and long term maintenance cost? Community onboarding through customization? Both
@Biappi Think we also confusing specific tech stack that became referred to as "semantic web" and hyped as some 3.0 nonsense and the idea of semantic HTML.,simply carrying metadata in a way that was human and machine readable in your HTML, not extra file or hidden in header
A great primer on how #IndieWeb and #OpenPedagogy have run on parallel tracks for years.. Time to hook the engines together and get this locomotive really moving https://cathieleblanc.com/2019/03/24/alternative-to-the-corporate-web/ #digped
The proper thing a reporter should do is say, "What science?" ...To which proponents will probably just say "National Reading Panel" ....which wasn't science...it is a report of correlations and best predictors.....makes no claims about interventions.
Ooh yeah make sense you can't reply to a mention... Actually no that doesn't make sense at all. I should be able to send a reply to mention.. Oh well second post will require some copy and pasting.

I would never want the plugin experience of WordPress where the only help you get is "Turn off all the other plugins and then turn them back on one by one until you find the plugin breaking our plugin... Now delete it.
#literacies folk Looks like Connecticut isn't only state dealing with "science based reading" nonsense https://www.chalkbeat.org/posts/co/2019/03/19/colorado-legislation-read-act-revisited/ #edu reporters need to realize this is a concerted national lobbying effort that will do little to help reading...
@geekgirldiva It scared the shit out of me. Like nighmare scary. When they are tripping with the mean elephants flying everywhere....who shows that to toddlers......Might as well watch Walking Dead
I will check this out: https://davidwalsh.name/build-a-decentralized-web-chat-in-15-minutes?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed using minnit.chat in my classes and riot.fm in my #oer set ups
Can someone in #HigherEd explain fringe rates to me? State of CT makes @scsu set my fringe rate up to 93%. Makes grants less competitive. Yet without grant state pays 100% of all my fringe... .... Sooo wouldn't a grant that charges 33% still save CT money?
