@davewiner If you haven't watched @indiewebcamp Nurnberg sessions and demos lot of progress was made. @sebsel showed how a social graph by displaying the likes of people he follows. The Indieauth session made a ton of progress on private and semi private publishing in feeds
Will take web of the nineties everyone owned content we didnt let corporate data hogs suck up all our stuff and then sell it right back to us. Weak security in 1999 meant one website/one person was hacked. Weak security in 2018 means one site is hacked and 50 million people
@mweinraub87 Kinda glad I lost out on all my @WeAreLRNG grant applications. Would have been weird building the infrastructure for an entire city to be a campus...only to have it purchased by a competitor. None of the non-profit and open badges stuff is left anyways
Not sure a dominant vendor is required pushing specific protocols is needed. In fact I think that is the enemy. 2002(4?)-2018 stank for the blogosphere because large corporate silos and search turned their back on html and open standards and started to push their own protocols.
