Gonna quit on @getkirby for the day not sure what I am doing wrong doing the same steps for isntall each time but getting a different result each time. I was able to do this in a snap yesterday. Wonder what I am screwing up.
Though that will be sometime before I get there. For now just setting goal of getting microformats into articles and notes... Goal after that remove title from notes (your status).
@vuildco if you have an h-feed and websub things should be instant. I would add micropub endpoints to use different clients. Then possible figure out Twitter syndication and use Bridgy for backfeed.
Okay got @getkirby up and running on a new subdomain (I couldn't quit further behind from where I started) https://testkirby.jgregorymcverry.com/ I think what happens was my htaccess rule for PHP overwrote the imported htaccess file. maybe only works if I upgrade PHP after install??
@fredericmarx I am going to start now, adding the blogging plugin and the byline plugin. Can add an h-card for the author and the h-entry and other properties on articles and notes pretty easily. Need to figure out if/how to remove the title field in notes.
@fredericmarx I am going through the @getkirby page on the IndieWeb wiki and saw you had used Kirby at one point and added microformats. I am doing the same now as a learning experiment. Do you have a repo for the edits you made?
had @getkirby up and running yesterday but borked it trying to to edit templates... Today I start over with a fresh test install and I can not get any of the pages to load. I did upgrade to php 7.3 before and not after install.maybe? https://kirby.jgregorymcverry.xom
@infuturereverse You can do all of the above from your WordPress. Use notes and syndicate to Twitter (if you want), bookmark resources, publish posts. Could even dilineate between posts and articles. Syndicate stuff to your Moodle. Make sure content begins at home.
After reading this https://bastianallgeier.com/notes/back-from-the-dead I am hoping we can get a theme or even better just have microformats native in @getkirby starter templates. @Sebsel made a tool kit: https://github.com/sebsel/indieweb-toolkit but I think I want mf2 in my snipets, blueprints, and templates
@Cambridgeport90 Can you elaborate. What stuff? Specific themes?A particular post type...we can customize a post kind for you but really you just an h-entry. Do you mean other silos who do not support webmentions?
Wow so cool you took your website and added #IndieWeb building blocks to take back control of our social lives from the corporate companies spying on us.
