@jgmac1106 wow, had no idea barcamp was a play on foocamp to make FooBar...I always thought it meant "we meet in bars" @brianmcc if you did not know three teachers in Philly walked in to BarCamp and started @EdCamp, network huge now: https://www.edcamp.org/
Hey #edtechchat #digped if you want a great history in how all us teachers use twitter and unconferences like @edcamp check out this Internet History Podcast by @brianmcc with @chrismessina https://overcast.fm/+Bj7z1YpkA
@jgmac1106 Some technical ideas: must force new project name on remix: when you search you get the same project 30 times just remixed and unchanged, on search only show OG project and then any others with X % of lines change with a huge weight put on README.md changes
Huge shout out to @smartponzu who has taken on l10n work with the @mozdevnet page on microformats. Thank you so much. An English only web is not an open web
@Sphinx_Twitt thanks a ton, I checked GitHub but it looked like the issues weren't for discussing articles...Didn't know about the Discourse site, will go there, and you know how I roll, I want everyone discussing @mozdevnet docs from their own domain.
I purchased two site licenses for @getkirby yesterday and I was excited to learn they allow free licenses for education and open source projects. This is a really great platform. Excited to be working with @MarquisLock to create #IndieWeb course template builder
Made some great progress on our #OpenPedagogy chapter on Towards a Theory of Community as Knowledge https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UFJMhF4F94zTG6kjKwj0gIh-3XmG60vIzWPWUFDmKaU/edit?usp=sharing #digped #PutThisBookToBed
@brianmcc you barely mention it here: https://overcast.fm/+Bj7z1YpkA You are probably mixing up Internet History and Ride Home. I only mentioned it because it made me giggle as a parent
@brianmcc @chrismessina looking for prior art of the weekly scheduled synchronous chat to see what predates #edchat in 2009,http://edchat.pbworks.com/w/page/85091491/EdchatHistory recurring and regularly scheduled chats around a hashtag
@jgmac1106 oooh it still saved, sweet, but still say Discourse is a javascript mess, but a mess that works well is still fun, but good to know there is a talk system in place for wiki editors
@brianmcc ummm..it's called listening...it's what people do when other people publish a podcast, Just happen to be live listening instead of trying to develop a theoretical model of learning on the web...try the fart thing...fun
