@moxi3ann My Grandfather, Frank Kelly, Peter's son in law started a machine shop after picking tobacco. It was always immigrants. As a kid I heard all Eastern European languages in the shop, now it's all Spanish. Connecticut's industrial base was always immigrant driven.

I think given the birth in 1874, and knowing he moved to America in 1900 then this would be during 1895–1898 And it was compulsory service in the Aust
