@fncll I am doing an online #IndieWeb meet up every Monday. Probably too early your time but will share how I teach with the building blocks of the modern social web.
@jeannieindigitl I can share som of the moms active in #IndieWeb. Just don't want to publicmy w/o permission. Will DM you on Mastodon.Thibk finally pullingplug on Twitter
@TwitterSupport I think it is. I am done. This is a painful decision. Twitter is a massive network for educators. I am losing a huge funnel of ideas, people, students, and colleagues. I will miss the weekly chats, will just have to start them up again on Mastodon or @microdotblog
@TwitterSupport It is time to say goodbye to Twitter and choose to support networks that have open apis that allow the open web to flourish? Tired of companies using their inattentiveness to hate as an excuse to further lock us into silos where out content gets packaged and sold to marketers
@TwitterSupport How hard is it to say..."Hey oh yeah we checked that person out twice...they are fine...don't flag again?" I don't want to be babysat by some inefficient bot who can't recognize the difference between hate speech and teach speech. They are very different.
@TwitterSupport I was literally having a conversation about the best pedagogical techniques for teaching "My First Website" I @ mentioned people and orgs actively in the conversation. This is my third suspension in same number of months. I don't have time for all the support emails.
@TwitterSupport has once again suspended the write API for my website. No more POSSE tweets, no more owning my notes. Glad to know they are keeping you safe from teachers everywhere while misogyny and hate reign on the platform.
@sheridanvk @glitch @mouse_org @mozilla everyone thought it was so cool to make themsleves lottery winners or trick parents about something silly., and it taught basic HTML elements, enough to get started on your About me page. No x-ray Goggles anymore but I could probably make some spoof newspapers on @glitch
@sheridanvk @glitch My workflow to introducing websites was also to start with tag-tag revolution, (thanks @mouse_org) and then we used @mozilla x-ray goggles to remix local newspapers and put ourselves on the front page. Also gave opportunity to decriminalize the word "hack"

@sheridanvk will add it to the project as a quick Grid learning tool!! want to take all my old Thimble projects and update them to grid. working on "Hello World" website kit for @glitch want to use Grid but in way new learners won't need to worry about layout at first
