I have found since so many users are new to Wordpress trying to do feeds for different catalogs, let alone post-kinds or other #indieweb tools to be difficult for them to follow. Plus I like pretty. Different communities deserve different stylesheets.

“You can use this with Micro.blog, Known or any other Micropub compatible server” This is a perfect way to put it for the average user. Though I might replace server with app or service. I didn't truly understand until we were discussing Indigenous on IRC. In many ways, though I get this is limiting, MicroPub is the "Write" feature and MicroSub is the "Read"
