So knowledge knitting will fit well into our model of SAINT https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/2019/03/07/my-fork-of-synea-into-a-saint System Agent Intelligence Network Theory
@slsoftworks Yes see what I did there...kidding of course, it would be an honor to have @KatieFujihara her front-end design work is above approach. Katie make sure you are in the @PDXWiIT Slack channel very active jobs board., and bring a friend to the #IndieWeb summit
@JohnStewartPhD ohhh you mean People of Color? Facial recognition as bias as people who build system. Same folks (sometimes me) who cross to other side of street if a black man in hoodie crosses. Further this is USA, not a criminal until guilty (or black) #Domain19
@honda and @hyundai are top 20 employers in Alabama. I think it is time for a boycott until they divest from the state of Alabama. Is that what you want in a car company? One who will let women rot in prison for wanting to control their reproductive rights?
Ohh @Bryce let the "Know Your Team" team know if they are looking for validated and effective framework to evaluate the feedback managers give to employees you may know a guy...
Hey @DittmerChase if you auto purge your tweets every month I would love to capture this method on the #IndieWeb wiki..If you have your own website you could even add to the https://indieweb.org/silo-quits#Purging_Rather_Than_Quitting section or I can do it for you.
@btopro I want to figure out a script to make a carbon calculator for different platforms. Liek all the heavy loaded javascript editors versus just having a website with some static pages and a bit of dynamic content. HTML=Green choice #Domains19
@clovid01 Kirkland's "A search past Silence" would be perfect https://www.amazon.com/Search-Past-Silence-Literacy-Language/dp/0807754072 it is an approachable academic and starts with important first lesson: you do not "give, empower or find voice" we stop those in power from silencing.
Though @NimbleK12 does have pretty dashboard and in the k12 market that often all you need. Data doesn't have to be right just make sure you spin up neat graphs folks can show their bosses or state officials.
Most importantly I feel it helps to capture much of the feminist pedagogy that #digped needs for these spaces to thrive. There is so much prior art from scholars across the globe on knitting as a knowledge metaphor.
In retrospect the scaffolding built into cognitive apprenticeship feels heavy handed in terms of instructional design. Too many objectives and not enough subjectives.
When you look through the literature there is a clear distinction between explicit and implicit knowledge. I have been trying to track down the lineage of thought here (help welcome)
@paulgp Ha nothing like messing up your syndication (which messes up your twitter thread) when responding to a twitter thread about how to twitter thread. thx for @nomadj1s link I added it to the #Indieweb wiki: https://indieweb.org/tweetstorm
@mapkyca and start here: https://pages.awscloud.com/ps-live-chat-contact-us.html?sc_icontent=awssm-1970&sc_icampaign=live_chat_button_ps&sc_iplace=button&trk=ha_awssm-1970&sc_ichannel=ha it is really helpful live chat they will put you in contact with people faster than I, but I can email you folks who help us (Don't want to broadcast that)
Been spending a lot of time talking about how we display trips at #IndieWeb events I wonder if anyone has tried: https://1se.co/ @1secondeveryday not sure if export options work well in HTML (haven't tried) but some decent UI ideas in their marketing materials
@jonbecker @GardnerCampbell @kfitz if the three of you can not make the #IndieWeb summit please join us remotely. I believe Gardner's original idea for a personal infrastructure is the only way #OER can truly thrive. https://2019.indieweb.org/summit
Awesome @KatieFujihara and flaki in one place!! Don't think I have hung with @slsoftworks since #MozFest15 stoked you are both going to the #IndieWeb summit. Can't #TeachTheWeb until we are the #BetterWeb
