Yes regardless about political opinions of the #CCSS it is what we teach and taxpayers expect us to do., and while there are some progressions in Reading for Literature that make little sense it wasn't a source of controversy (besides people saying info text replaced lit) #edu305
@jasonopus Thanks for the update. I will go note that on the #IndieWeb wiki. If anything changes let us know or sign in and make the change. #craftcms If you got mf2 into your templates I wonder if @schnarfed can figure out something with https://brid.gy
#edu307 as we discuss worldviews, racism, and children's literature here is an important read from @ncte http://www2.ncte.org/blog/2017/08/there-is-no-apolitical-classroom-resources-for-teaching-in-these-times/
@qubyte Yeah saw that! It is so much fun! I think it shows how we can take good old ideas (web rings) and revitalize them to create social networks built on our blogs and not corporate interest.
@downes @benwerd The minimal requirements per each item seem simple enough. Match what any LTI compliant platform would have on any user event,but the freedom of anyone defining vocabulary seems both attractive and useless.
Good use of evidence of student practice and dialogue to back up the claim you were making about the educator supporting intellectual risk in preschool classrooms.
@benwerd May not need to exist but if DOD funded to replace SCORM also cant be ignored and will wait and see on consensus around the nouns and verbs for Activity Stream, still early. Folks who grab real estate may dig canals to make nouns and verbs flow their way.
@downes @benwerd Can't put my finger on it totally but comes down to a vision of taking one creation and breaking it into its parts or having a bunch of parts you can copy and put in different places. Even though the second seems more logical in my heart believe the first to be true.
@harmonygritz @harmonygritz @joefromkenyon @Autumm @ltaub @chairthrower @BryanAlexander @CathyNDavidson @bergDLAs @floatingtim @JennaAzar know many of you asked about an @IndieWebCamp Online we have a free unconference scheduled 3/9-3/10 https://indieweb.org/2019/Online
@qubyte @ambrwlsn90 This #IndieWeb search engine is a great tool for random blog discovery: https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=001473925626342383772:izm-5gxypp4 and we also now added an #IndieWeb directory that can make for fun blog discovery (but folks just getting added)
@benwerd thx for inspiring deep dive. @downes covered it in #el30 but never really read deep into spec. Seems both simple enough to implement and expansive enough for the most niche. Vocab spawning everywhere with no one really using them but falling back on basics.
@psd I would go with are over "were a good" idea. Many of use microformats to drive the modern social web as alternative to corporate silos and search engine who usually push us based on their profit needs not our people needs.
@geekgirldiva It is a good read. Only thing could have made it better would be finishing line "I am richest person in world. I will cover the legal costs of anyone who signed an NDA with AMI or suffered similar extortion...oh yeah same goes for Trump if you step forward"
There is no writing correctly. Grammar, while improving writing, can also act as a tool for oppression of people and poetry creativity and community Let us devour rules and burp up exceptions from within #smallpoems #edu305
