@ProfSteveFuller I don't think there are any. I asked folks to share the coolest and hardest things they ever made.

Greg McVerry@ProfSteveFuller I see it more as recognizing that there isn't equal access to the few academic credentials that actually matter.
Greg McVerry@ProfSteveFuller It wasn't for a higher ed position but in the last few job posts I have written I have asked for no resumes.
Greg McVerry@kimdhamilton @salesforce @Blackboard The smartest thing for @salesforce to do instead of trying to patent digital credentials is dedicate resources to supporting open standards
Greg McVerry@kimdhamilton @salesforce @Blackboard I could see @salesforce wanting to get into employee management or using badges for sales goals. They want a bit of everything
Greg McVerry@kimdhamilton @salesforce Stinks of @Blackboard's early moves trying to patent online learning. Took years for black eye to clear, but few in edu know @salesforce
Greg McVerry@kimdhamilton @salesforce Prior Art should be super easy. Maybe we can make a badge for it. #openbadges Can't believe @salesforceis trying to patent badges https://t.co/SV7Qwan6ob
Greg McVerry@kimdhamilton Do we need to start documenting prior art? Is @salesforce really trying to patent badging and digital credentials? #openbadges

Greg McVerry@BadgrTeam Is there a way to share link to pathway publicly?
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke And in full disclosure I run a company @ReVIEWTalentFS that helps schools develop and deploy teacher centered growth focused teval systems
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke Not sure how much an evaluation system can do when administration have no control over staffing. All paper work because no bite.
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke Data? That is without saying if X %of students are below grade level than Y % of teachers have to ineffective.
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke I would: make reflection and gaol setting cornerstones (not useless SLO's), use third party validators, train folks on delivering feedback
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke I also think expecting X number of teachers to be less than effective os folly. I would never want X percent of pilots to be ineffective
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke It isn't peer reviewed so you know it has a PR slant but here is one on charters: http://bit.ly/2xRFZ4N will share some from public
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke One where we put emphasis on coaching over checklists. Some great innovations in both public schools and public charter schools
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke Throwing regulations at things rarely improves that which we want to regulate. Use evaluation for capacity building not compliance systems
Greg McVerry@Kress_Sandy @maxeden99 @matthewladner @rickhess99 @jaypgreene @lindseymburke Yes we must empower principals to make staffing decisions and use evaluations as tools for growth and not gotcha compliance moments
