@liberalpuppy @FrankLuntz Like when you spell connotation wrong. Knowing the Latin bits of con and and the root word help you with knowledge and spelling. You can get by at a 6th grade level, even through college. You can also be smart, spend 44 billion on Twitter, and still not get proper editing.

@liberalpuppy @FrankLuntz Those same states can also have the biggest range in highest scoring and lowest scoring students. (Frank's state is a perfect example). The stats from PIAC (adult literacy) are correct. It's also at "sixth grade" where words become derivational in conontation and spelling.
