@ludvikherrera Why I stopped using most badging platforms. I am a teacher. Need to do assessment, so I used microformats and webmentions to make badges that are single html files
And here is the new photo gallery display deployed on my website: https://jgregorymcverry.com/finalscramble.html need to play with some conflicts between my two stylesheet but getting really close
@ludvikherrera @chriscoyier You can of course get blog and fulfill a lot of BSA's "Digital Technology" merit badge: https://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Digital_Technology for most getting to the point where you can say, "My url is" is a lofty enough web development goal
@ludvikherrera Here is where I made it in terms of my gallery layout this morning: https://precious-hearing.glitch.me/ Still not perfect may switch the figcaption to a nested grid so I can play with title, date and location on both axis
@ludvikherrera just checked out your site. Awesome photography...My morning hack today is try to get CSS Grid and animated figcaption over the images while keeping my microformats proper for all the new cool social readers out there.
@ludvikherrera @chriscoyier To bring it full circle how about using microformats to make web development merit badges: https://quickthoughts.jgregorymcverry.com/pages/badges here are skills we landed at on a Mozilla project https://web.archive.org/web/20190202140236/https://learning.mozilla.org/blog/web-literacy-map-v1-5 you bet there were badges
Spent morning working on photo gallery layouts in @glitch to add animated figcaptions. Decidedpn flex after trying nested grids, once subgrid more adopted I will use that, perfect use case. Wonder if CSS animation works yet with subgrid https://cssgrid-photogallery.glitch.me/
@ludvikherrera Mapping microformats with iCal and gCal was major topic in irc this week. In fact think a meetup microformats article hit the top of indie news this week: https://news.indieweb.org/en we all use webmentions to rsvp from our sites
